Introducing 5 day old Beau! This little guy was super tiny and at just 5 days old so super cute! It took him a little while to drift off to sleep but once we got there he was a little angel for his newborn session. Giving me so many smiles and allowing me to guide him into the froggy pose as shown below with such ease.

Introducing 12 day old Preston! Congratulations to both Grace and Luke on the arrival of their little boy! I met this beautiful couple in April for their stunning Maternity session. They have definitely made one super cute baby boy. He was such a dream to photograph and did brilliantly in every position. 

We even managed to get photos of Preston with his siblings (i.e. the dogs) who did amazingly and sat right next to Preston for their images! Don't worry Mum and Dad were right next to both dogs and Preston to make sure he was safe. 

When it came to the parent poses, Preston had woken up a little after his feed, and just as we were about to take the photo of him with Mum and Dad he decided to poop all in mums hand! Grace was such a trooper though and since Preston was happy we quickly wiped it up and continued to shoot!

I was lucky enough to photography Baby Avalyn a couple of weeks ago for her newborn session! This little angel was super cosy inside her mumma and had no intention on coming early! In fact she went 12 days over her due date!
At 6 days old this little cherub was so sleepy and let me photograph her into all my favourite poses!

Gorgeous Chrissy was absolutely glowing at her maternity session! We headed to City beach back in June to capture some amazing pregnancy photos for this stunning family. Chrissy is a prenatal and post-natal yoga instructor at little mumma yoga, what an amazing women she was rocking her yoga moves on the beach with so much flexibility! I am absolutely in love with everyone of her shots!

What exactly goes into a Newborn session?

Well the answer is a lot! I spend quite a bit of time during your session settling, posing and cuddling your precious bundle of joy to make sure they are safe, comfortable and most importantly to keep them sleeping for those sweet newborn shots you will cherish for ever! 

When posing them in props such as below I always have mum or dads help and depending on the prop or pose mum or dad will have their hand on or close by to their baby at all times. Safety is priority. I gently guide your little one into their pose and will never force them into a pose they are not comfortable with. 
Not all babies will go comfortably into every position and thats ok, we move on and go into the next position if they are unsettled.
